Beginning with the creation of the Bot Appreciation Society Facebook group in August of 2017, the ability for the community surrounding facebook bots to communicate and share ideas increased phenomenally.
With the introduction of this group came a startling increase in the number of people drawn to the community, as well as an increase in the number of botmins and bot pages as a whole.
Furthermore, the group allowed for bot admins to provide advice on how to create bot pages, as well as to draw on ideas from the community when creating new bots.
This open exchange of ideas only improved with the creation of the Bot Appreciation Society discord, which provided a better platform that was not subject to the whims of Zucc and the restrictions that accompanied the Facebook guidelines and terms of service.
Overall, while the community faced a few obstacles along the way, the Age of Enlightenment served to significantly improve the community and the communication between fans and creators since.
This era of the community begins with the creation of the Bot Appreciation Society and ends with the public release of Paintmin's access token.
